Sarah Neil is a queer, female artist of color whose work explores the complexities of humanity through a sharp mix of seriousness and satire. She challenges viewers to confront societal pressures and personal insecurities, weaving humor, curiosity, connection, and critique into every piece.
Originally from the West Coast, she relocated to NYC in 2021 to further pursue her artistic career and a Masters in Illustration from the Fashion Institute. Sarah is a restless storyteller, sharing stories from her own life, weaving in experiences from her community and surroundings. As a self proclaimed artistic sponge, empathy and a good long conversation are her portals to success in her work.
In a media landscape that feels increasingly stark and dry, Sarah delivers with the kind of yeehaw energy we didn’t know we needed. She rides the line between the absurd and the essential, bringing warmth, wit, and a much-needed jolt of rebellion to the conversation. Her work aims to bridge the gap between art and society, bringing people together and sparking lost conversation.
